Effectiveness of Training for Teachers in Early Identification of Skin Disorders Among Primary School Attending Children - A Quasi-Experimental Study Protocol

Skin diseases are the leading cause of morbidity in children. As children spend most their time schools, training teachers on detection skin changes and timely referral will prevent or reduce complications. Hence, we propose a quasi-experimental study to evaluate effectiveness for early identification disorders among primary school rural area southern India. The government government-aided schools field practice Model Rural Health Research Unit, Tirunelveli, be intervention group. same nearby village control investigators National Institute Epidemiology, ICMR, Chennai, develop validate manual. Using manual, principal investigator train identifying referring provide model register, slip each teacher. review quarterly collect number identified referred from both groups before after intervention.
